Guide to Services

What is it?

The Guide to Services provides an up-to-date listing of reference diagnostic services that are provided free of charge by the National Microbiology Laboratory (NML) of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). Information including patient criteria, specimen requirements, accompanying documentation, and turnaround times can also be found.

Requisition forms on the NML Guide to Services are best viewed using the Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge web browsers. To view in Chrome, click on the requisition link, then right click on the downloaded file name in the lower left hand corner of the browser window, and select 'Always view in system viewer.' This will open the requisition in Adobe Acrobat or other PDF viewing software on your computer. To view in Firefox, click on the requisition link, then select 'Open with...' and choose your preferred PDF viewer (e.g. Adobe Acrobat).
