Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Testing Section

The mandate of the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) Testing Section is to provide state-of the art, reference-level services, in order to fulfill the ultimate goal of national and global HCV elimination. The section makes available several support platforms including: molecular detection, genotyping, virus drug resistance and patient-to-patient transmission analysis. In collaboration with other groups at the NML, the laboratory employs high-resolution next generation sequencing and proteomic platforms with active research interests in virus replication and vaccine development.
