Influenza Virus Molecular Proficiency Testing
<<Return to LaboratoryDetails
Influenza virus RNA in varying dilutions of different HA types and subtypes (e.g. H1, H3, H5, H7, B) are sent to participating laboratories to evaluate their molecular detection methods. Negative controls are included in the panel.
Detection and genotyping of seasonal and zoonotic influenza A and B.
None
Provincial public health laboratories that routinely test for influenza by molecular methods.
Participating laboratories are assigned a numerical code known only to that laboratory and NML. Cumulative results summaries display results by numerical codes only. Participant contact information is not shared with other participants.
