Description:
Gamma-irradiated (inactivated) MERS-CoV RNA is sent to participating laboratories to ascertain their ability to detect the virus.

Detection of MERS-CoV by PCR.

Eligibility criteria for participation:
Provincial public health laboratories that provide testing for MERS-CoV detection.
Confidentiality arrangements:
Participating laboratories are assigned a numerical code known only to that laboratory and NML. Cumulative results summaries display results by numerical codes only. Participant contact information is not shared with other participants.
