West Nile Virus IgG and IgM Serology Panel

The WNV serological panel consists of 6 serum samples and is distributed annually in May.

• Determination of assigned value: The assigned value is determined through pre-testing by VBZD using a EURIMMUN West Nile IgG ELISA, an in-house West Nile IgM MAC ELISA, as well as a Plaque Reduction Neutralization Test (PRNT).
• Evaluation of performance: Binomial determination (positive/negative) based on correct determination of the presence of IgM and/or IgG antibodies towards WNV.
• Report distribution: Panel results are distributed directly back to clients ~1 month after panel distribution; clients do not send results directly back to VBZD.

Must be a Canadian public reference laboratory. Other laboratories/institutions will be considered individually.

Participants are assigned alphanumeric codes which anonymizes their identity. Participant’s contact information and results are not shared among the group.
